Sept 19

From our PTO:
  • October 6 - the PTO will be serving dinner to families on Back to School Night.  We are looking for some volunteers to help.  We have a cook but need a grill and a few people to help serve dinner.  The dinner will consist of hot dogs, chips and a drink.
  • October 12 is the first meeting of the PTO.  All are welcome to attend!  6:30PM in the CBMS library.
  • Show your school spirit!  The PTO is considering running a concessions stand at all home soccer games for 7/8 grade boys and girls this season.  We need volunteers to make this happen.  Please contact Stacy Gibson-Grandfield if you are interested at sssgrandfield@myfairpoint.net or 244-4169.  The first home game is this Tuesday - Sept 20.  Come support CBMS sports!
From the Cougar Cafe- Due to an FDA warning, we will not be serfing cantaloupes in our schools until further notice.  When you see "Cantaloupe" in the September menu, we will be replacing with another fresh fruit.

Tonight!  Local musicians will present “Songs for our Neighbors,” a benefit fundraiser for flood relief on Monday, Sept. 19, from 6-8 p.m. at the Reservoir Restaurant and Tap Room, 1 South Main St., Waterbury.   Featured players will include Big Al Lemery from the Starline Rhythm Boys; Jim Pittman, Jay Mireault and Ed Germon from the Stowe Hollow Boys; Eileen Harvey Baker with Jean Bataille and Phil Baker, and more. Donations and a percentage of food sales will benefit the Good Neighbor Fund to assist flood victims in Waterbury and Duxbury.

Grades 7 and 8 Dance at Harwood Union Middle School this coming Friday from 7-9PM


Fun and Free event next Thursday:  From Prince Edward Island - The Sky Family’s CELTIC REVIVAL!  Rollicking Celtic fiddles mixed with Riverdance style Irish step dance and hilarious skits make up this high-energy Celtic Dance and Gospel production. All members of the family perform on  several instruments and all contribute to the rich vocal harmonies and lively dance. Its family 

entertainment at it’s best!  The show will be performed at CBMS on Thursday, September 29th, beginning at 7PM.   Concert is FREE and excellent for the whole family.  Donations to help support the Sky Family will be accepted.
