Parent Handbook online- We just discovered that the documents currently appearing on the on-line version of our handbook are out of date. We are in the process of fixing this fault, and hope to have all back in order shortly. On that note, the Dress Code that went out in the last Cougar Comments was an old one, and our guidelines around hats have not changed...they can be worn in all public spaces at CBMS, not in the Cougar Cafe during lunch hours, and not in classrooms where the teacher has a rule about hat wear. Also, we do allow outdoor coats to be worn in school, until they become a distraction from learning. My apologies for any confusion!
Middle School Students & Their Parents Needed- We are looking for help with our annual Craft Fair at Thatcher Brook on Sat. Oct. 15th. Students can help with the silent auction, selling popcorn and food, and face painting! Parents are welcome to donate baked goods (which can be dropped off at TBPS prior to the event), serving food and if you'd like to help with the clean up afterwards (3:00) we sure would appreciate it! Please contact Brenda Ververis at firstname.lastname@example.org or 244-7195
CHANGE IN CALENDAR: The WWSU admin team looked at this year's school calendar, with an eye towards "finding" some student days in order to make up for the 4 lost days due to Irene. Currently our last day of school is slated for June 14, and that would move to June 20th with the Irene days. Tack on snow days, and we could be in school late into June. For this reason, Friday, November 11th, which was scheduled to be a non-student day for parent conferences, will now be a student day. We will do parent conferences in the afternoons and evenings of Monday, Nov 21 and Tues, Nov 22, as we have done in the past.
