Major Kudos to the Cougar Community for the great turn-out for Alice in Wonderland on Saturday!  The volunteer spirit was alive and well, and this production could not have happened without the major show of support for the CBMS theater program!

Congratulations to the CBMS Geo Bee finalists: Quincy Alves, Marcus Baird, Wyatt Cunningham, Caitlyn Dolloff, Katie Ferguson, Sam Grandfield, Ceile Kronick, Mason Lemery, Julia Loewer, Lincoln Pierce, Keagan Puffer, Emma Russo, Kyler Shea, Matt Skelly, and  Jonathan Zacharias.  Cougar Kudos to Matt Skelly, who took the CBMS GeoBee crown in this year's event!

Grade 5/6 PARENTS - If you have not yet done so, please send in your Ferry Beach Permission Slip this week!  Extras can be found on the Ferry Beach Blog.
LOST & FOUND - Lots of great clothes in Lost and Found - please stop by CBMS and claim what's yours!

CBMS PTO - Looking for volunteers to help out with the Basketball Tournament coming up in February!  The Crossett Brook 5/6 Boys Basketball teams are hosting a tournament to raise funds for the trip to Ferry Beach.  The tournament will be hosted at the CBMS Gym starting at 10:00AM on Saturday, February 25th.   We are looking for volunteers to staff the admissions table, concession stand, and to sell 50/50 raffle tickets.  Please sign up for one of the following by e-mailing Stacy Grandfield at :
  • Admissions- Admission tickets – we need two volunteers for each hour between 10-6
  • 50/50 raffle ticket sales – we need one volunteer to sell tickets for each hour between 10-6 
  • Concessions Table – we need two volunteers for each hour between 10-6
  • Food – we need parents to help prepare food for the concessions.  (Chili, Cornbread, Salad, drinks, snacks)
  • Runners – we will need people to help transport food from the cafeteria to the gym side of building through out the day.

STUDENTS WAITING?  If a student has basketball practice, or a game at 5 PM, students should not be planning on staying at school "hanging out" until time for the event.  Students must be in Club Cougar if they are in the building after 3 PM unless specific arrangements have been made with a faculty member.  Thanks for helping us keep our students safe!

CLUB COUGAR has a few openings.  After-school homework time, snack, and social time with friends.  $60 a month.  For only 1-2 days a week, there is a $5 a day charge, but students must be signed up in advance.  If you are interested in signing up your child, please contact Cathy Knight at 

Need a new mattress for the New Year?  The Harwood Athletics Department is hosting a huge mattress sale! The sale will offer new mattresses, box foundations, and frames at discounted prices Saturday, February 4th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Harwood Gymnasium. National brands such as Simmons, Serta, and Corsicana will be offered. The sale price will include delivery, set-up, and removal of old bedding as well as a substantial contribution made to the Harwood Athletics program. Orders will be filled and delivered by the end of the following week. All service issues will be dealt with promptly.
