Election Day in Waterbury once again could provide a big boost to the Waterbury Area Food Shelf. This is the time of the year when supplies are low and the need is increasing, even more so as families are still recovering from last year’s devastating flood.  We are asking schools, churches and organizations to help get the word out to voters to bring an item for the food shelf when they cast their vote. Polls are open from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Voting for Waterbury residents will take place in the gym at Thatcher Brook Primary School.  As voters walk into the gym, volunteers will be there to collect canned goods, non-perishable food items or cash.  We appreciate and thank you for your help.  Mary Miller, Election Day Coordinator.

Hannah’s House is pleased to announce another parent educational workshop with Kevin Gallagher, LCMHC titled “Fostering Independence and Setting Boundaries” on November 7th from 6 to 7:30 pm at the Waitsfield Elementary School. "Helping kids make mistakes while they are with you so they don't make them without you!” Elementary, Middle and High school age groups will be discussed with their unique movements toward independence. Workshop is free, and childcare will be provided. Hannah’s House, Inc is a 501c3 nonprofit in Waitsfield dedicated to helping support the emotional wellbeing of families.
