Bus Routes- please refer to today's Waterbury Record for the 12-13 bus routes.  We will also have these routes hosted off the CBMS website as soon as we get them digitally.

We are looking for the following Math games- Set, Connect 4, Mancala, Battleship, Simon.  If you have any that you are willing to donate to CBMS, please send them into the office!

The Waterbury-Duxbury School District has a vacancy for a Food Service Cook. Starting date is August 27th. There are two days of training, August 16th and 17th. This is a 40 hour/week position, 5 days/week when school is in session, plus additional training and/or meeting times as requested or required. Job requires healthy food preparation, inventory management, record keeping, cleaning, computer data entry, and Farm to School outreach. Candidates must be able to: work in a high-pressure environment; have prior cooking experience; be able to maintain Federal and State laws and regulations regarding health and safety, including food handling and safety laws and regulation; work as part of a team; lift 50lbs. Proficiency in computer applications. The ideal candidate would have interest in Farm to School Programs and a passion to provide healthy meals to students in grades preschool through 8th grade. The Waterbury Duxbury Union 45 school board is looking for candidates interested in filling the at-large school board member position and to select this new at-large member at its September 11 meeting. Scott Rathke is moving to Burlington and is resigning from the school board that oversees Thatcher Brook Primary School and Crossett Brook Middle School. Rathke’s at-large seat on the board represents Waterbury and Duxbury voters, and residents from either of the towns are qualified to serve.Candidates should mail a letter of interest to Dale Smeltzer, Waterbury Duxbury School Board, Crossett Brook Middle School, 5672 VT Route 100, Waterbury, VT 05676 by September 4. The Board will interview candidates at their September 11 meeting and select a replacement whose term will run until next Town Meeting March 5, 2013.

First Day of School for students is Wednesday, August 29th.  School begins at 7:45AM sharp, with normal dismissal beginning at 2:20PM!

New Student Orientation is Monday, August 27th from 5:30-6:30PM at CBMS.  This event is for all 5th grade students and parents/guardians, and all "new to CBMS" 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students and parents.  The focus of this event is to simply make for an easier transition into the learning community we call CBMS.    

Student Planners/Agendas are now available in the CBMS office, and the cost is $4.  Checks can be made payable to "CBMS".  

Youth Soccer Referees needed for Waterbury Rec Soccer!  Check the E-Community Bulletin Board for details.  

New to CBMS?  The building will be open during the week of August 20th between the hours of 8AM-4PM.  Feel free to come in and wander around to begin to get the lay of the land!

Club Cougar, our after-school program, runs from 2:30-4:30 each day, and the cost is $60/student/month.  The program will begin this year on Tuesday, September 4th, and more details will be forthcoming in the next couple of weeks.
