June 16

    PTO officer election will be closing at 5PM today because we need more parent votes!  Please make sure you've entered your vote by clicking here!  Announcement of officers will be sent out in a separate e-mail tomorrow from the PTO.  Thanks!

    8th Grade Recognition Assembly this Monday, beginning at 9:30AM in the gym.  Parents are invited and welcome!

      Last Day CBMS Field Trip/Pawsitivity Celebration - 5th, 6th, and 7th grade students will be leaving school Tuesday morning between 8 and 8:30 to travel via school bus or walking with their A.G. to the Waterbury Pool.  There we have lots of activities planned to celebrate respectful, positive choices and the LOADS of learning we did this school year.  Students will need:  Backpack, bathing suit, towel, water bottle, sunscreen, extra dry clothes, and shoes appropriate for walking/playing games.  Dismissal from CBMS begins at 12:05.

      6th and 7th Grade Parents- if you have not given us your choice for French/No French for next year, please do so by Wednesday morning by clicking here.  

      Good-bye and Thank You to the following CBMS staff members who will be departing us after this week- Patty Carroll, Mollie Falk, Mark Grimes, Roger Grow, Tyler LaRock, Rachel O'Donald, Hayley Quinones, and Ed Spaulding.  You all will be missed!

      Alex Houston is rallying a design/build on an outdoor labyrinth over the summer, and is looking for parent/community input.  She is open to ideas and the more creative the better!  If you have interest in getting involved, e-mail Alex at ahouston@wdsdvt.net

        LOST AND FOUND  - Is displayed in the front lobby.  Please stop by and claim any missing belongings - we have boots, lunch boxes, winter coats, and lots of clothes.  After Wed., we will be donating them to good will.
          LUNCH ACCOUNT Balances - Please pay your lunch balance if you have not already done so.
            The Last Day for CLUB COUGAR was this past Friday.

             are going fast!  It's not too late to get your beautiful copy for your student showing the memories of their 2012-13 school year!  Please stop by the office to get one or send in a $30 check with your child- made out to "CBMS".


            Calling all hockey players!  Harwood Youth Hockey Registration will be on Wed, July 17th at 6PM at the Ice Center in Waterbury.  Online registration will also be available at harwoodhockey.org.  Registration is open to all hockey players, male and female, as well as new and experienced.  Ages range from the Learn to Skate level (age 4+) through Bantams (age 14).  Please visit the Harwood Hockey web site form more information.

            Summer Math Camp @ CBMS - There are still spots open for the summer math camp at CBMS, hosted by UVM sophomore Tegan Garon.  The camp is open to any incoming 6th, 7th, or 8th grader, of all levels mathematically.  The camp will run Monday June 24 to Friday June 28 from 10am to 12pm daily, and the cost is $75 for the entire week, which includes all materials.  The camp is going to be a lot of fun, and will allow students to practice various math skills with their peers, while also receiving one-on-one support from a college student who is majoring in math and education.  Please contact Tegan Garon ASAP at teags3@yahoo.com for more information.
