New e-mail accounts for WDSD staff.  Our "Google Domain" has changed, and all addresses for TB and CB staff, as well as staffs in the whole WWSU, now end with ""  First initial-Last Name at the beginning....for example, Tom Drake's e-mail is

Student Planners can be purchased from the CBMS office for $4 each

1st day forms will be sent home via the "backpack express" on the 1st day of school.  

New Student Orientation, for all 5th graders and their parents, and new-to-CBMS students and their parents, is happening on Monday, August 26th at 5:30PM in the CBMS cafeteria.  Students will have the opportunity to meet with their new teams and teachers, and parents will meet with administrative and office staff, all in order to make for a smoother transition to CBMS on that Wednesday.

Advisory Groups- lists of "AG groups" will be posted on the first day of school in order to inform all students of their AG group.

Harwood Happenings:  Harwood Union is presenting the first Harwood Happenings of the 2013-14 school year.  It will be this Thursday, August 22nd @ 6:30PM at the Crossett Brook Middle School library.  All families and community members are invited to attend this informational session.  This session will provide community members with an overview of the innovative practices currently in place at Harwood Union Middle and High School, and will provide community members who wish to participate in the Harwood visioning process a framework of understanding.

WANTED: WATERBURY YOUTH SOCCER YOUTH OFFICIALS - The Waterbury Youth Soccer (WYS) Season is upon us, and we need help officiating games for boys and girls in grades 3–6. Anyone interested in officiating should come to the 2013 WYS Officials' Clinic on Sunday, 8/25, at 11:00 am, at Hope Davey Park.  The Clinic will involve a discussion of the rules, some game simulation, and a short quiz. It should last no more than two hours. If you can, please bring with you a whistle, pencil, sneakers, and coin. Please join us for the new season. Spread the word and recruit your friends. Details about Officiating:
  • Officials earn between $5-10 for each game they officiate, depending on their experience. 
  • Games are 50 minutes in length. 
  • Games are held on Saturdays between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.; as well as Tuesdays, 
  • Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 6:00 p.m.
  • You need not know the rules of soccer because we will help you learn them. We're simply looking for responsible people with good attitudes. You'll be put on the Officials Roster and scheduled to officiate with another youth official.
