Sept 27

NECAP testing for grades 5-8 begins next week (Oct 1, 2, 3), and continues the following week (Oct 8, 9, 10).  As on each and every day, thanks for ensuring that your learner gets a good night's sleep, eats a healthy and hearty breakfast, and comes to school ready to do his or her best!

This is our last weekend to sell Joe Corbi.  Order forms are due on Monday.  The PTO wants to thank you for all your efforts.  Without your help we would not be able to continue the programs and classroom assistance that we do.  If you have any questions please contact Missy Semprebon 244-1918 or missy@calmontbeverage.com

Next Friday (Oct 4th) we will be having our first Grades 5/6 Fun Night of the 2013-2014 school year.  If your form was lost before it got home it is available online- click here.  We would like to remind everyone that sending in your permission slip with the $5 really helps to shorten the line when kids arrive.  Also if you know your student will be riding home with someone else we would like that information on the permission slip if possible.  Of course if pick up plans change please send a note with your child Oct 4th.  All monies collected go directly to the 5th & 6th grade students only!  If you have any questions please contact Gayle Moskowitz at bgmosk@myfairpoint.net

The Boston Bruins hockey team will be practicing at the Ice Center on Tuesday starting at 1:30 in the afternoon.  As this is a large and unique opportunity, you have our blessing to take your child out of school that day.  Please use the E-Note form to let the CBMS office know if your child will be leaving early.

Picture Packets need to go to homeroom teachers asap! Picture Day is Friday, Oct 4th, but getting those packets turned in before that day is really helpful!

Mike Maloney is once again offering a Lego Robotics Club for beginners in 5th and 6th grade.  These classes will be held at CBMS from 2:45-4:15 on the following dates:  First session on Oct 15, 22, 29, Nov 5, 12. 2nd session on Nov 19, 26, Dec 3, 10, 17Based on the level of interest, the 2nd session will be another beginning class or a basic knowledge 1st level challenge class (for those in the 1st session or if they have outside experience already).
