Waterbury Winterfest is next weekend! This 10-day extravaganza features lots of great kid-friendly events. We hope you have an opportunity to get outside with your kids and watch or participate... it's a great way to encourage being active even when it's cold outside. Stay tuned for a "Kid Cliff Notes to Waterbury Winterfest" document coming soon, but in the meantime check the Waterbury winterfest website.
Think free breakfast is a good idea? Erika Dolan from the WDSD Food Service is putting together some testimony from parents whose children qualify for the reduced price category that are now taking advantage of free breakfast and lunch. The question is: What difference does it make for you and your kids that the reduced-price lunches you used to pay for are now there for your kids at no cost to you? If you have quick thoughts (like a sentence or two!) on this question, please submit them by clicking here.
