There will likely be two 5/6 boys teams so we are in need of a few volunteers. Please contact Stephen LaRock if you are interested.  Email: slarock@wwsu.org

Grades 7/8 Wrestling - Practices begin on November 17th  and will be held at HUHS upstairs gym from 3:30pm to 5:15pm.   This helps students to be able to  ride the bus back to Waterbury.  All that students need to participate is a pair of gym shorts, a non button up shirt and a good attitude! Got Rock?!  The Grade 5 CBMS Climbing Club will kick off our second year with a brief slide show and chance to find out what this after school activity is all about on Thursday, Nov 6th in the CBMS library from 2:30 to 3:00 PM.  Any and all 5th graders and their parents are welcome.  You do not need any equipment or any experience to join, just a spirit of adventure.  We will learn the basics at school, then go the climbing gyms in the Burlington area, and then outdoors in 2015 when warm weather returns.

From the Waterbury Public Library
Ready for something really cool that no one else is doing? NEXT Wednesday, Nov 5th (it's an Early Release Day), kids in 4th through 7th grade will learn how to do "e-Origami". First they will make an origami shrimp, then use copper tape, a button battery, and LED lights to make the eyes light up! This is another great opportunity to get a jump on STEM basics. This program will continue again on November 19th. Please call the Library to register your child.

And, of course, we've got a couple of DCF books up for discussion:
*On Thursday, Nov 13th at 6:30PM, in the CBMS library, we will continue our exploration of the book "Wonder" and discuss it's message of kindness, empathy and acceptance. This will be a community-wide event for ALL AGES, and refreshments will be provided. Limited copies of the book are available at the circulation desk in the Waterbury Public Library.
*On Saturday, Nov 15th at Noon, the DCF Book Club will be discussing "Better Nate Than Ever", suitable for kids in grades 4 through 7. We'll have pizza with our discussion. Again, limited copies of the book are available at the Waterbury Public Library circulation desk - just ask!

Mark your calendars for these great events, and/or give the Library a call to register or if you have any questions. More info is also on our website.
