Introduction to Proficiency Based Learning in the WWSU The world is changing and so must our education system!  Act 77 and the new Vermont Education Quality Standards are jumpstarting our efforts to “remodel” education and learning, so that Vermont schools can fully meet the challenges of the 21st century. We know more than ever about how students learn, and it’s time to bring this new knowledge into our classrooms and communities. Act 77 and the Vermont Education Quality Standards strive to bring the highest-quality educational experiences to all young people in Vermont. ACT 77 highlights the importance of real-life opportunities and the power of personalized learning opportunities.  The Vermont Education Quality Standards support every student demonstrating proficiency of skills and content to prepare them for college and career.  Please click here to learn more about Proficiency-Based Learning.

Waterbury Duxbury Community Day with Lake Monsters, sponsored by the CBMS PTO  This is our 3rd year organizing Waterbury/Duxbury Community Day with the Lake Monsters.  Our designated day is June 21st against the Lowell Spinners this year. What a great Father’s Day idea!  The tickets are only $6 with $3 going to the CBMS  PTO to promote various events and grants given out during the school year.  Did you know that if you are unable to make the game on the 21st the tickets are transferable to any game during the 2015 season?  All you have to do is call before the 21st and let them know that you want to hold them for a later game.  Then when you are ready call in and they will be waiting for you at the ticket window.  Just make sure you call at least a week before the game please.  Buy multiple tickets and enjoy games all summer while helping out your local school!  All orders are due by 5/29/15 and can be turned in to the office or during AG.  Checks should be made payable to VT Lake Monsters and placed with the order form.  All order forms received without  payment will not be processed.   Thank you for your support and Play Ball!

Update info on summer offerings at Green Mountain Performing Arts can be found on the E-Community Bulletin Board.
