Introduction to the Leadership Team for Educational Excellence - The Leadership Team for Excellence in Education (LTEE) has been formed in the WWSU to guide our ongoing school improvement work.  The world is changing and so must our education system!  Act 77  and the new Vermont Education Quality Standards (EQS) are new pieces of legislation that jumpstart the state’s efforts to “remodel” education and learning, so that Vermont can fully meet the challenges of the 21st century. We know more than ever about how students learn, and it’s time to bring this new knowledge into our classrooms and communities. The WWSU Leadership Team for Educational Excellence strives to bring the highest-quality educational experiences to all young people in the Washington West Supervisory Union. Fundraising Dinner and Organ Donor Awareness for Mandy  Mandy Drake - Friend, mother, middle school teacher, triathlete and Waterbury Firefighter - needs our help! Two years ago Mandy suffered a brain bleed.  Shortly after her stroke she had to have surgery to remove part of her skull cap due to swelling.  Doctors have twice put the skull cap, (both her own and a prosthetic), back in and an infection resulted.   Prior to the third attempt it was determined that a lifelong liver disease that she has is the underlying cause of these infections.   Please support our drive to help financially assist potential live liver donors as well as raise organ donor awareness. We are having a Pasta Dinner on Friday evening June 5th,  with three seatings at 5, 6, and 7PM at the Main Street Fire Station, 43 South Main St. Waterbury, VT. $10 adult, $5 Student,  $25 family of four. Walk-ins are welcome but if you know you plan to attend an RSVP is appreciated.   Please email us at with the number in your party and the seating time you would like. If you are unable to attend the dinner but would still like to support our cause please go to to read the rest of her story and make a donation. You can also drop a check off made out to Waterbury Firefighters’ Association and leave it in the fire department mailbox upstairs at the municipal office.
