Staff Appreciation Week!  It is that time again when we spend a week THANKING all those who take great care of your children during the school day. I'm trying to put together another great week for the Teachers and Staff at CBMS and would love some help in trying to make it the best week ever!  I will have a sign up for food next week, but for now I'm looking for help in calling around our area for donations. I'm also looking for monetary donations for the pizza luncheon and breakfast.  There are many areas that I will need help in and any help would be greatly appreciated.  As the saying goes.....It takes a Village....  Laughing
Please contact me if you would be willing to make a few phone calls and or give a monetary donation for the pizza luncheon and breakfast. Thanks so much.  Leslie Proteau- blaproto@comcast.net

Something to ponder:  “Here’s what the Common Core is designed to communicate: If your children are meeting the standards, it means they are believed to be on track for college and career readiness by the end of high school – real readiness, the kind that doesn’t require remediation on campus. If they aren’t meeting the standards, it means that they are off track. That doesn’t mean they are ‘failing,’ or even ‘below average.’ But it does mean they need to accelerate their progress if they are likely to be able to take bona fide college courses upon entry or have the best possible shot at a well-paying job.” Michael Petrilli in “Not Meeting Standards: A Warning Light, Not a Death Sentence”  in The Education Gadfly, March 25, 2015, http://bit.ly/1CoIici
