Grades 7/8 Dance 2Nite, at CBMS.  7-9PM.  $5 at the door.  No permission slips needed, but thanks in advance for not dropping your child off before 7PM, and for picking up promptly at 9PM!

CBMS 5/6 Spelling Team- at last week's WWSU grades 5/6 Spelling Bee, the CBMS team took first place! Team members include: Grace Casey, Summer Herrington, Janelle Hoskins, Garrett Nelson, Noah Rivera and Louisa Thomsen.  Next competition will be the regional Bee to be held in late October or early November.  Go, Cougar Spellers!

Once again, CBMS has teamed up with Evergreen Gardens and Laughing Moon Chocolates to offer holiday wreaths, poinsettias and fudge to raise funds for annual team enrichment activities. 
  • Order forms must be completed and returned, along with payment, no later than November 11th! 
  • See order form for details on poinsettia varieties, fudge flavors and prices.
  • All checks should be made payable to CBMS PTO.
  • 100% of what a student raises goes to her/his team - so be sure to note your team on your order form!

This is a fundraising event, and the cost is now $10/child in order to help reduce the number of fundraisers and the need to ask you for money again and again. Thank you to the many Good Cookies who supported the Bake Sales at CBMS and the Alchemist last week by baking or buying cookies or donating "dough." Each dollar raised will be matched, thus raising over $2,000 for Cookies for Kids Cancer. Special thanks to CBMS student Ellie Odefey for her help organizing this event, and to our local bakeries Greniers, Stowe St. Cafe and Henders for the delicious donations!We are so grateful for your support. Attention: Girls Soccer Players in Grades K-6 - Harwood Girls Varsity Soccer Coach Mike Vasseur would like to invite all girl soccer players in grades K-6 to the annual training with the Harwood Girls Varsity team on Friday Oct. 21 from 4 to 5:15 p.m. at Harwood. The varsity players coach this fun session for dozens of young players from across our school district. The big girls have games, drills and scrimmages planned. It’s a highlight of the season for everyone. Players should come dressed for soccer, including shin guards. Bring a water bottle and a soccer ball (w/name on them). Parents are welcome to watch. Questions?

A Celebration of Life - Our local communities are having a Celebration of Life for the five local students who lost their lives last weekend on Monday, Oct 24, from 6-8 PM at Harwood Union High School. Details, including information about a shuttle, will be forthcoming.

The Town of Waterbury is excited to be offering two Kids Night Out Events on Oct 29th and Dec 10th, as well as three School Vacation Camps on Dec 27-30, Feb 27-March 3, and April 17-21. These programs will all be run by our trained staff from Summer Day Camp.
